New energy and storage prismatic battery cell coating: conductive silver adhesive case study

Background

An equipment integrator / manufacturer in New energy and storage needed to coating on a prismatic battery cell using conductive silver adhesive.

Process challenge

Very small shot volume with high repeatability demands, plus overflow and stringing risk.

Solution

We recommended Glue Supply System + Screw Valve + Glue Distributing Machine, with adding regulated supply with a drum pump for continuous feed to suppress pressure ripple.

Result

  • Material utilisation improved by about 8% with visibly less waste.
  • Shot volume 0.02 mL with deviation within ±2%.
  • Cycle time 0.8 s per dot with no stringing or dripping during continuous running.

Project facts

  • Industry: New energy and storage
  • Workpiece: prismatic battery cell
  • Fluid: conductive silver adhesive
  • Process: coating
  • Recommended lines: Glue Supply System, Screw Valve, Glue Distributing Machine
